Great looking stair treads, very soft.

All sides are not even and some of the corners do not lay flat and are showing black plastic. They are soft and the pattern is cute- we might have just received a batch that wasn't in the best of conditions.

Super easy to install. I live in New England, where most staircases are narrow and at a ridiculous almost 90 degree angle it feels like. Wooden staircase of course, and you literally feel like you are going to plummet to your death each time you go up and down. My chihuahua slipped and fell one time, and never wanted to attempt again. Also have a toddler, so visions of him falling were terrifying me. I found these and chose them for the pattern/color and price point. I wasn't expecting much, and I was right. Quality wise, this is cheap carpet material - but soft and does the trick. I'm just renting, so I didn't want to spend the money on a quality runner installation and I also didn't want to do anything that would cause damage I would have to repair when I move out. So this is the perfect solution. No more fears when going up and down the stairs!
I installed these in about 45 minutes, first I cleaned every step and made sure the wood was completely dry. Then I started at the bottom and worked my way up. I eyeballed it rather than measuring, just make sure if your steps start out wider at the bottom that you account for even placement in the "middle" using the top stairs as your measurement. I put mine closer to the front edge of the stair for best traction. The reason this took me 45 minutes rather than 15 is because the tape is SO FRUSTRATINGLY hard to separate from the protector strip. GOOD GRIEF that was annoying. I literally stood there between steps wasting 5 minutes or more just trying to get the tape protector strips off. Once you do that, it's just a matter of placing it where you want it and pushing down/smoothing out. The tape seemed flimsy but it actually worked great - I've had them in place about a week now and so far they don't budge and I don't think they will. Here's to hoping they stay put a while, or maybe I should be more worried about whether or not I can get the tape off someday!! Anyway, well worth it if you need a cheap fix that isn't terrible looking.

Adhesive that comes with the treads does not work at all. It came off on the my new vinyl floor which was upsetting to me. Not very thick so it did not add the comfort to the steps I was looking for. Treads were bent from shipping and took awhile to flatten out.
Did end up using the treads. First you have to make sure the tape adheres to the tread before you put them down took a lot of elbow grease to get it to stick. After 2 weeks they are still sticking as of today. They are better than having nothing on the steps, still not really impressed. Will use them up and then look for something better.

These treads are super cute and soft! Easy to put on the stairs. We will see if they hold up after normal wear.

These are great and super easy to install. However, based on other reviews I decided to buy some additional carpet tape and put a little extra adhesion on the back of the treads. I figure when it comes to stairs, better safe than sorry. They make my stairs so much quieter and my dog has a much easier time getting up and down the stairs! Great buy overall!

They stick way better than expected. Not having to apply adhesive was the best ever and they look so cute in my home!

Better than I expected- both in appearance and ease of installation. After reading reviews, we knew to be careful whenremoving the backing on the tape strips. Once we got the ha g of it, it went fast. My husband measured the location on each step and I removed the tape backing- done in about 25-30 minutes. Looks nice for the price and seems durable.

The adhesion strip was difficult to peel and then it also doesn't stick that well. I'll need to get some extra tape to keep in place. Only slight inconvenience for an otherwise nice tread. I also wish they would allow the purchase of a single one. Kit came w/ 13 treads and I have 14 stairs, so I had to by the 4 pack. Just kind of wasteful.

These are cute, and functional. I have no idea what the adhesive will do the stairs when they come up and I just don't care, our old boy can get up the steps again.

They look so good! It was tough to get the backing paper off the adhesive but I used tweezers and once I got used to it I moved faster. The whole install took less than 30min. They seem pretty adhered but only time will tell.

The adhesives are a little challenging once theyre on though they dont move! I love the pattern they were a bit softer material then I expected but great product for the price!
